Today there is limited amount of opportunities for disabled youngsters to deal with physical activities. That is the reason why they are physically less active comparing with their coevals. This leads to the inactivity of children’s physical abilities decline further complicate daily living, reduce social sense of belonging to society and makes them dependent.


Create and develop regular physical activity for youngsters with special needs in form of climbing. Also raise the awareness of disabilities among able bodied youngsters and increase the cooperation between able bodied and disabled youngsters. Establish a comprehensive non-formal learning opportunities for young people through a variety of athletic activities.

Climbing Academy has been leading a project called “Climbing Academy give you wings” (2015-2017), funded by Erasmus+ program. 4 climbing clubs from different regions of Estonia (Tallinn, Rakvere, Tartu, Võru) have been participating in this project and made paraclimbing possible for more than 200 disabled youngsters.

Have been in contact with IFSC Paraclimbing Committee and been trained and supervised by one of the leading paraclimbing club, ONTHIS Rock from England.

Climbing activities for disabled youngsters will continue after the project.
